LIQUI MOLY MOTORCYCLE OILS
Euro Synthetic Oils stocks several different Motorcycle Oils Brands for your selection. We Stock Motul, Elf Moto, Brad Penn, Mobil 1, Royal Purple Max-Cycle and Red Line motorcyle oils. Now, we bring you Liqui Moly Motorcycle Oils. We stock 10W-40, 10W-50 and 10W-60 Liqui Moly Motorcycle Oils. The 10W-40 oil is a partial synthetic and the 10W-50 and 10W-60 oils are both fully synthetic. All three of these motorcycle oils are certified JASO MA2 oils. The 10W-60 oil is especially suited for the Harley Davidson V-Twin. It is not a "heavy" 6o weight oil. It has a pour point of -22 F and a flash point of 464F. The cSt @ 100C is 24 which is moderate for a 60 weight oil. The 10W-50 fully synthetic oil is a good "all around" performer for a relatively large number of different types of motorcycles. The 10w-40, like other 40 weight motorcycle oils has become more popular in recent years and is used by many newer manufactured motorcycles and their engines.

Before moving on to the motor oils, lets look at the differences between car and motorcycle oils and why it is important to use motorcycle oils in motorycles, not automobile oils.
Motorcycle vs. Automobile Differences
Most motorcycles operate at much higher rpms - More friction - More heat - More wear!!
Many motorcycles share engine & transmission oil - More friction- More heat- More shearing!!
Many motorcycles have "wet clutches" sharing the engine/transmission oil bath - More friction - more heat - More wear!!
Many motorcycles, ATVs, PWCs and snowmobiles are "air cooled" - up to 3 time more heat - More wear - More Oxidation - More shearing!!
As indicated above, motorcycle lubrication needs; and motor oils, are different from those of automobiles. Motorcycles shear, or breakdown, oil at a much faster rate than automobiles. Some tests have shown viscosity losses of 30% for motorcycles, and 3% or less for automobiles, within the first 800 to 1,000 miles. Many motorcycles require an oil that serves BOTH the engine and transmission; and that, requires a great oil, and Elf Moto synthetic motor oils are great oils. Bottom line, motorcycles are tougher on lubricants, than cars.
Moreover, automobile oil technology is focused on better fuel mileage and pollution control; whereas, motorcycle oils are free (relatively) to focus on reduced wear, extended life and less shearing or viscosity loss. Motorcycles, PWCs, ATVs and snowmobiles have no catalytic convertors; and thus can formulate "more aggressive" additive packages. Thus, our advice, at Euro Synthetic Oils, is for those of you who own motorcycles, PWCs, ATVs, and snowmobiles, to stick with oils formulated specifically for them rather than using automobile oils in your favorite machines.
