OEM specific oils are those specified by the automobile manufacturers. In Europe these OEM specific oils are very common and well known. These "approvals" by the manufacturers have ultimately led to significant improvements in motor oils and lubricants. In the United States, the A.P.I and ILSAC set minimum standards for motor oils. These minimum standards do not establish "high enough" benchmarks as do the European approvals and ACEA standards. The following line of Motul OEM oils are specially formulated to meets the requirements of the some of the best automobile manufacturers in the world: BMW, Mercedes, Audi VW, Porche, Ferrari,Maserati, Bentley, Pugeot and others. Euro says "all customers should consider these European OEM approvals as indicators of motor oil quality".
